Biomonkie is an organic greengrocer from IJsselstein that brings fresh vegetables and fruit to the organic market on the Botermarkt in Haarlem every Friday.
Their website says they look for very fresh produce, preferably with the Demeter label for biodynamic growing, but it does not name the growers who supply the stall today. Biomonkie began in 2012 with produce from Tuinderij De Stek in Lelystad and from Warmonderhof, a biodynamic horticulture school in Dronten, with a biodynamic-oriented wholesaler supplying what they could not get locally. The organic certificate we found in the register (SKAL, NL-BIO-01.528-0005497.2025.001) is held for their shop in IJsselstein rather than for the market stall.
The Haarlem stall stands on the Botermarkt on Fridays from 9:00 to 17:00. On Saturdays from 8:00 to 16:00 they sell vegetables, fruit and groceries at the Boerenmarkt on the Buikslotermeerplein in Amsterdam-Noord, and their webshop takes orders at any hour. Their natural-food shop in IJsselstein, open daily, also sells bread, dairy and groceries.
