Klein Olden Aller Automaat
- Cattle, sheep or goats graze on pasture in the grazing season
Klein Olden Aller is an organic dairy farm on the Olden Aller estate in Putten whose own milk, yoghurt, hangop and custard are sold from a vending machine in a farm shop on the Waterweg.
The farm leases about 70 hectares from Natuurmonumenten: 22 hectares are laid out as feeding ground for migrating birds and the rest is grassland for about 100 cows. In summer the cows are out day and night with access to the barn at all times, and because they are milked by robots they decide for themselves when to come in; in winter they stay mostly in the barn. The grass is fed with the farm's own straw manure and slurry, with no artificial fertiliser or chemical sprays. Their website says the products carry the organic label, and the register shows a certificate for Klein Oldenaller CV at the farm's address on the Olden Aller Allee. The range is whole milk, vanilla custard (vla), and plain and fruit yoghurt and hangop (strained yoghurt), plus a flavour of the month; their website does not say whether the milk is pasteurised.
The vending machine at Waterweg 1 takes cards. The dairy is also stocked at farm shops and vending points including De Boer Op Automaat and De Vrolijke Geit in Putten, Arkelandshoeve in Ermelo, Het Melkhuisje in Harderwijk and De Kastanjeboom in Bunschoten-Spakenburg.
