In their words · translated
“Alles over onze koetjes en kalfjes en wat er bij komt kijken om boerin te zijn”
All about our cows and calves and what it takes to be a farmer's wife
Boerin in Midden Delfland is the blog of a dairy farm on the Scheeweg in Maasland, on the edge of the Westland, written by the farmer about the cows and calves and the work of running the farm.
The cows go out to pasture every April and spend the summer in the meadows. For the winter the farm makes its own grass silage and, with help from volunteers, hay in June, and it feeds maize harvested each September. Through the blog and an adopt-a-cow scheme the family has been in touch with people interested in the farm, but the blog does not describe any sale of milk or other products at the farm, and its most recent posts date from 2020.
