On our farm we make real Gouda farmhouse cheese
Kaasboerderij Elizabethhoeve is a dairy farm on the Stuivenbergweg in IJsselstein that makes Gouda boerenkaas (farm cheese made from raw milk) from the milk of its own cows.
Because it is boerenkaas, the milk goes into the vat raw, without pasteurising or thermising. The cows graze outdoors for well over 120 days a year. The farm is listed as a sales point of the Bond van Boerderijzuivelbereiders, the association of Dutch farmhouse dairy makers.
The farm shop is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 and Saturday from 9:00 to 16:00, and closed on Wednesday and Sunday; delivery is also offered.
