Hoeve Brouwer is a farm on the Leeuwenlaan in 's-Graveland that keeps dual-purpose cows and chickens, giving milk and meat from the same cattle and eggs and meat from the same hens.
The cows are fed a high-fibre, low-protein ration made up mainly of grass, which is why the farm keeps a hardy cow that can produce both milk and beef from grass while keeping up the landscape. The grassland is herb-rich, and the cows' manure goes back on the land to feed the soil. We could confirm the beef from this herd; the farm may also sell its milk and eggs, not yet confirmed.
