“Van de afvalvrije kruidenier en vers gebrande noten tot aan kaas, groente, fruit, vlees en vis”
From the zero-waste grocer and freshly roasted nuts to cheese, vegetables, fruit, meat and fish
The organic market on the Prins Hendrikplein is a weekly neighbourhood market (wijkmarkt) in the Zeeheldenkwartier in The Hague, held every Thursday from 11:00 to 19:00, which the city's tourism website describes as organic and as the smallest market in the city.
Stalls around the round square sell vegetables, fruit, cheese from the Netherlands and abroad, meat, fish and freshly roasted nuts, and there is a zero-waste grocer where you can buy without packaging. We judged the market as a whole and haven't checked the individual stalls, so it is worth asking the stallholders how their produce was grown.
There is no market on 25 December or 1 January. The square is easy to reach by public transport, with bike parking at the start of the market.
