Viswinkel Willem Molenaar is a fishmonger on the Nieuwe Gouw in Landsmeer whose Zeeland mussels are the part of the counter that passes our fish bar, since farmed mussels are rated green in the Dutch sustainable-fish guide (VISwijzer).
The fish is delivered every other day. The rest of the range, from cod, sole, halibut and wild salmon to oysters, cockles, razor clams and smoked fish, is not yet confirmed, because their website does not say where each species is caught or farmed. The shop also fries fish to order, makes sandwiches and prepares ready-to-bake fish dishes and soups each morning.
The shop is open Monday from 11:00 to 18:00, Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00 and Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00. You can also order and pay on their website, or by phone or email, and collect at an agreed time.
