“Fresh ice cream is made from the milk of the cattle that graze outside in the pasture”

Boerderij van Herk is a farm with a farm shop on the Oud-Loosdrechtsedijk in Loosdrecht, where a herd of Black Angus cattle is raised for beef.

The beef is from the farm's own cattle, which graze outside in the pasture, and is sold as cuts such as fillet, entrecote, rump steak, côte de boeuf and mince. The farm also sells ice cream made from its own cattle's milk, not yet confirmed. The shop stocks chicken, eggs, soup and honey too, along with flour from a windmill, preserves, sauces, wine and other regional products from named makers, so not everything on the shelves comes from the farm.

The shop is open Wednesday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:30 and Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00, and orders placed through their website can be collected there.
