Daan's Honing

Daan's Honing is a beekeeping business in Rotterdam that sells honey from more than 150 bee colonies kept at different locations in and around the city.

The beekeeper started in 2011 with one colony that had settled by itself in an old hive and has built up from there. The honey is sold runny and as creamed honey (crèmehoning), in jars and in a squeeze bottle; at which sites the hives stand, and whether every jar comes only from their own colonies, we couldn't confirm. They also sell beeswax candles, propolis, beeswax food wraps, mead and beekeeping equipment, and you can adopt a bee colony.

Everything in the webshop can be shipped or collected by appointment in Rotterdam, which you choose at checkout. The honey is also stocked by Bakkerij Ids, De Leeuw Delicatessen, Harvest Café & Bakery and Urban Bakery in Rotterdam, De Bakkerette in Schiedam, De Kaazaak in Bleiswijk and De Koeienstal in Zevenhuizen, and it is in the Boeren & Buren webshop, with collection on Saturdays from 10:00 to 12:00.
