De Groene Weg Rotterdam is a certified organic butcher on the Mariniersweg in central Rotterdam, one of the shops through which De Groene Weg sells its organic meat across the Netherlands.
The counter sells beef and pork, from beef mince and beef sausages to pork schnitzels, along with cooked sausage and other cold cuts, and the butcher adds organic versions of dishes from other cuisines next to the traditional Dutch range. The meat comes from farms supplying De Groene Weg, two of them from the region, but their website says nothing about how the cattle and pigs are kept, so we cannot describe their grazing or housing. The shop holds an organic certificate for preparing and selling meat (SKAL, NL-BIO-01.528-0000237.2026.001); we found it in the register. Whether bones, offal or lard are for sale is not stated.
The shop at Mariniersweg 33 is open Tuesday to Friday from 8:00 to 18:00 and on Saturday from 8:00 to 17:00, and De Groene Weg also sells its meat through a webshop.
A list of the supplying farms is kept on the counter, so customers can see which farm their meat comes from.
