De Gagelgaard is a self-harvest vegetable garden (zelfoogsttuin) on the Gageldijk at the edge of Overvecht in Utrecht, next to the Steck garden centre, where members buy a harvest share and pick their own vegetables and herbs every week.
Everything in the garden is raised by one grower, and the garden is planted as a small, biodiverse food landscape with flowers, insects and birds among the crops.
A share runs from May to December and lets you come once a week to harvest what is ready straight from the soil. The 2026 shares are sold out; you can join the waiting list for summer shares or for 2027 by emailing the garden.
Members are part of the community around the garden and learn how a vegetable garden works through the season.
