De Groot is a greengrocer with its own vegetable nursery on the Tuinbouwweg in Maarssen, run by the same family since 1958, where the vegetables grown on the nursery go to the shop fresh every day.
Their website doesn't say which vegetables come from the nursery. The rest of the range, from fruit and potatoes to ready meals, soups, salads, boerenkaas (farm cheese), bread, Schulp juices and dairy from De Vrolijke Koe, comes from other suppliers, and vegetables and salads are cut fresh in the shop every day.
The shop is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 18:00 and Saturday from 8:00 to 16:00. You can also order online and either collect in the shop or have the order delivered on any day the shop is open.
