De Landouw
- No synthetic pesticides or fertiliser (certified)
De Landouw is a certified organic market garden in De Glind, a village in the municipality of Barneveld, which has grown vegetables here since 2019.
They grow 50 to 60 kinds of vegetables a year, with the range changing through the seasons, and most of the harvest goes to shops, market stalls and a wholesaler in the region around De Glind. The garden is certified organic (SKAL); we found it in the register. In winter the stall is topped up with vegetables from organic growers in the Flevopolder, so not everything on it then is grown here.
The farm stall at Ringlaan 11A, opposite the swimming-pool entrance, is open Monday to Saturday and is restocked until 14:00. You can also join their email list: the weekly offer goes out on Monday evening, you choose freely from it, and an order emailed back before 8:00 on Wednesday is ready from 14:00 that day. Another pickup time can be arranged.
The growers aim to sell the whole harvest close to home, and they involve young people from De Glind in the work on the garden.
