desem bakkerij Club Brood
Club Brood is a small sourdough bakery in Weesp that bakes batards, baguettes, bagels and pizza bases on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Everything is leavened with sourdough (desem) and fermented slowly, which the bakery says gives more flavour and makes the bread easier to digest. Besides batards and 400-gram baguettes, the range runs to sourdough oat cakes, cinnamon knots, seasonal loaves such as a pumpkin-shaped autumn bread with pecans and pumpkin seeds, and a Christmas stollen made entirely with sourdough and home-made almond paste. Their website calls Korenmolen De Vriendschap in Weesp their favourite mill but doesn't say which flour goes into the bread.
Orders go through their webshop. On baking days the bread is delivered to homes in Weesp, Muiden and Driemond, on Thursdays between 9:00 and 12:00, or it can be collected from De Groene Griffioen farm shop on the Lange Muiderweg on Friday and Saturday mornings. In spring 2026 the bakery moved from a 9 m² room to a 29 m² space in Weesp, where customers will be able to call in. Club Brood also has a stall at local markets and, from 2026, once a month at the Amstel1 versmarkt in Amsterdam's old town hall.
