Visited
by Moss & MarrowEkodis is an independent family-run health-food shop (natuurvoedingswinkel) on the Beukenplein in Amsterdam-Oost, open since 1983, with 350 square metres of shop floor and more than 7,500 products.
The fruit and vegetable section is entirely organic, and their website says the food range as a whole is almost completely certified organic; bread, vegetables, dairy and cheese come in fresh daily. The shop is a certified organic retailer (SKAL), which we found in the register under the name Ekodis Natuurmarkt. Their website says they know where their products come from and know many of their suppliers, but names none of them.
The shop is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 19:00, Saturday from 8:00 to 18:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00.
