Grutterij-Korenmolen De Hoop

Grutterij-Molen De Hoop is a working windmill in Oud-Zevenaar with a shop for home bakers, selling flours, bread and cake mixes and baking supplies.
The mill is a thatched stellingmolen, a tall windmill with a stage halfway up from which the miller turns the cap into the wind and sets the sails. It was built in 1850 as a corn mill and barley-hulling mill (grutterij) and restored in 2021, and the couple who have run it since 2014 divide the work: one is the miller, the other runs the shop. The range covers flours, bread mixes, mixes for brioche, vlaai and other doughs, and baking supplies, alongside gifts, and their website shares recipes for baking bread in the oven or a bread machine. The mill is certified organic (SKAL) for preparing and selling organic products, and we found it in the register; their website does not say which flours are ground on the mill itself or which carry the organic label.
The shop at Babberichseweg 35 is open Thursday and Friday from 9:00 to 17:00, Saturday from 9:00 to 16:00 and by appointment, and the mill's products are also stocked at Reijke Zuivel and Landwinkel Zevenaar.
