Moes en pluktuin Landgoed Bredius
- Organic methods: no synthetic pesticides or fertiliser, not certified
The pick-and-kitchen garden of Landgoed Bredius is a volunteer-run garden in a public estate park in Woerden, laid out in spring 2015 with vegetables, berry beds and flowers to recall the estate as it was in the Bredius family's time.
The garden sells vegetables, berries and strawberries, flowers you pick yourself, and Bredius fruit juice. Their website says volunteers tend the garden by organic methods (op biologische wijze), though it holds no organic certificate.
Visitors can buy at the garden on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 12:00, and it stays closed in very bad weather. The garden also takes on extra volunteers, with or without experience of vegetable or flower growing.
The estate is managed by a foundation set up in 2014 by Woerden residents and organisations, and nearly 100 volunteers look after its orchards, gardens and nature each week.
