Slagerij Ab van Leeuwen
- Cattle, sheep or goats graze on pasture in the grazing season
Slagerij Ab van Leeuwen is a butcher in Lunteren that names the farms behind its beef and cheese and cuts its own meat for its sausage kitchen and curing room.
A large part of the beef comes from one farm in Harskamp. The pork is from certified free-range pigs (scharrelvarkens) and the Kruidvarken label, and there is fresh Ibérico pork as well. The shop also sells Remeker raw-milk farm cheese, made on the farm in the same village. How the beef cattle are kept and what they eat isn't stated. Chicken comes from Wellfoort, raised in barns without antibiotics, and fresh game is sold, with the traditional season starting in October. Ready meals, game stews and sandwiches are made in the shop's own kitchen.
On 17 December 2025 the shop moved to Molenparkweg 8 in Lunteren, the building of the former fish shop De Lunterse Beek. Products can be ordered online or by phone.
The butcher works only with meat from female animals, for beef as well as pork; female cattle are often slaughtered later, after they have calved.
