Visoptafel.nl is an online fishmonger run from Ansjovisweg 34 in Spakenburg by Heinen & Koelewijn, a fish trading firm in its fifth generation that supplies restaurants and market stalls and took over the webshop in 2017.

One product passed our fish bar: the gilthead sea bream (dorade royal), sold whole at about 500 grams, which their website says comes from ASC-certified farms; the farm and the country are not named. The rest of the range of more than 100 products, fresh fish bought at the auction each morning, smoked and frozen fish and shellfish, is sold without an origin or catch method per species, so we have not verified it, and the smoked eel is a species rated red in the VISwijzer fish guide, which isn't included.

There is no counter. Orders go through the webshop, are vacuum-packed with cool packs and delivered across the Netherlands and Belgium on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 17:00 and 22:00, the day after ordering when the order is placed before midnight.

Their website says staff look at how each fish they buy was caught, and that some farmed and MSC-labelled fish are offered; which species carry the MSC label is not stated.
