Welfare
Cattle, sheep or goats graze on pasture in the grazing season
In their words · translated
“De zelfslachtende slager Ter Weele uit Oene, voorziet ons van (eigen) vlees van de Hereford koeien in de boerderijwinkel.”
The self-slaughtering butcher Ter Weele from Oene supplies us with (our own) meat from the Hereford cows in the farm shop.
“De seizoensgebonden groente en fruit in de winkel komen uit onze eigen moestuin, boontjes, peultjes, prei, verse kruiden, sla, aardbeien, komkommer en tomaat.”
The seasonal vegetables and fruit in the shop come from our own kitchen garden: beans, mangetout, leeks, fresh herbs, lettuce, strawberries, cucumber and tomato.
They also make
cow hides (huiden), bags, purses and belts of cowhide, candles

Eggs: from their own hens, free range not checked yet. Left out of filters and totals. What this means
Wenumhoeve is a care farm of 25 hectares on the Wenumseveld, on the north side of Apeldoorn, which keeps Hereford beef cattle and sells their meat in its farm shop.
Their website says the Herefords graze for their whole lives and stay outdoors in every season. The cattle are slaughtered and packed by a butcher in Oene who slaughters on his own premises, and the shop sells the beef along with ready-made hachee, stew and goulash. The shop also sells eggs from the farm's Plymouth Rock hens and seasonal vegetables from its own kitchen garden (beans, mangetout, leeks, herbs, lettuce, strawberries, cucumber and tomatoes), not yet confirmed as to how the hens are kept or the garden is grown, plus its own jam, honey from regional beekeepers, and bags and belts made from cowhide. The farm also rears young Holstein Friesian cattle.
The shop and tea room are open on Thursday and Friday from 10:30 to 15:30 and on Saturday from 10:00 to 13:00, except on Saturdays in January and February and on public holidays. In season there is a pick-your-own garden for flowers, strawberries and herbs, and the farm sits on two waymarked klompenpaden (farm footpaths).
The shop is run partly by the farm's day-care participants and volunteers.
