De Boer op Automaat
- Cattle, sheep or goats graze on pasture in the grazing season
- Pigs and poultry live free range: outdoors on pasture, in woodland or a run
De Boer op Automaat is the vending machine of an egg farm on the Halvinkhuizerweg in Putten, where the family sells eggs from their own organic hens alongside dairy and other products from the region.
Their website says the white organic eggs are produced under the rules for organic farming, which means organic feed, fewer hens to the barn and a run outdoors, and the hens' run is planted with standard fruit trees. The SKAL register lists an organic certificate for the Esveld poultry business at this address (NL-BIO-01.528-0002967.2026.002). The machine also holds white barn eggs (scharreleieren) from another Putten farm, which we do not credit. The organic whole milk, yoghurt, vla (Dutch custard) and hangop (strained yoghurt) come from the organic dairy farm Klein Olden Aller. Cheese from TOP-Zuivel, ice cream from IJshoeve Ruitenbeek, honey from a Putten beekeeper and chicken from a conventional farm in Ermelo are also sold, not yet confirmed.
The machine is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 21:30 and closed on Sundays, and it takes card and contactless payment only.
The apples and pears from the trees in the hens' run are pressed into juice in years when the harvest allows.
