eierautomaat

This is the egg vending machine of Boerderij Klein Spaarhoven, a poultry farm on the Rijndijk outside Wijk bij Duurstede that keeps around 12,000 laying hens with five hectares of outdoor range.

The eggs come from the farm's own hens, which have access to that range. The farm is certified organic (SKAL); we found it in the register under the name of the partnership that runs it at Rijndijk 7. The machine is self-service and open Monday to Saturday.

The farm has also sold dairy, meat, vegetables and fruit through online ordering platforms, not yet confirmed; its VersBesteld page no longer carries a product range.
