Geitenboerderij 't Ketelbos is an organic goat farm and care farm on the Ketelstraat in Groesbeek, where the herd's milk is made into raw-milk goat cheese and the young bucks are raised for meat.
The cheese is made from unheated milk with vegetarian rennet and ripens under a natural rind, from four to six weeks old to over a year, plus five herb and spice varieties. The goat meat comes from the farm's own bucks, slaughtered at six months after at least two months with their mothers, as leg, stewing and satay meat, mince, burgers, chops, racks and fillet, some often sold out. Raw goat milk is sold on Tuesdays only; bring your own bottles. Kids stay with their mothers as long as they need milk, which their website says leaves almost no need for antibiotics, and the goats are not dehorned. The farm is certified organic (SKAL, NL-BIO-01.528-0005390.2026.002); we found it in the register.
Cheese and meat are sold in the farm shop on Tuesdays from 11:00 to 15:30 and Thursdays from 13:00 to 15:30; a self-service hut at the road sells a limited choice of cheese around the clock, and some shops nearby stock the cheese.
The farm runs a loop with an organic arable farmer nearby: his straw and grass-clover are the goats' bedding and feed, their manure grows his spelt and rye, and ensiled pulses are being trialled to do without bought-in concentrate.
