Jacht en Ambacht

Jacht en Ambacht is a game business in Nieuwland, where a hunter who is also a master sausage maker turns wild geese shot to protect farmland into sausages, braised meat, snacks and tapas.

The geese are shot to limit the damage they do to grassland and crops, since they eat grass meant for cattle and foul the fields so that cows refuse to graze there. Since 1995 their meat has been made into his own range, and according to their website only natural ingredients are added in the making.

Everything is made to order, so that each product is fresh. Orders go by email, or by phone daily between 16:00 and 20:00 and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 to 17:00.

Without this business the meat would be wasted: large numbers of geese shot for crop protection each week are otherwise sent for destruction without anyone using the meat.
