Lavett Bakkerij
- No synthetic pesticides or fertiliser (certified)
This is the Lavett sourdough bakery's bread as sold at PUUR&LOOS, the shop of the package-free grocer LOOS on the Burgemeester Reigerstraat in Utrecht; the bakery itself is on the Gansstraat.
Lavett bakes without industrial yeast, giving each loaf type its own sourdough method and using three or more flours per bread, all from Dutch grain grown on regeneratively farmed fields, including their own Lavett wheat, an organically grown Dutch variety. Their website says they bake only with organic ingredients, though the bakery itself holds no organic certificate. The shop at this address is certified organic (SKAL); we found it in the register under the name PUUR & LOOS.
The shop is open Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 to 19:00 and on Saturday from 9:00 to 18:00. Lavett's own website doesn't mention this sales point, so which loaves are on the shelf here and on which days isn't confirmed.
