Lindenhoff Marché is the farm shop and café of Boerderij Lindenhoff on the Rijksstraatweg in Baambrugge, a farm that started in 1989 and now also supplies meat and produce to restaurants.
The beef comes from the farm's own Gasconne cattle, which graze herb-rich grassland, and from birth the calves walk beside their mothers in the meadow. No synthetic fertiliser or pesticides are used on the land. Veal and pork from the farm's own animals are sold as well, while game and Fransje, a cheese made from the farm's Blaarkop milk, are not yet confirmed for the shop. We found SKAL certificates at the shop's address, registered as Lindenhoff Basis VOF and Lindenhoff Open Tuin B.V. Because Lindenhoff also buys from other farms for its restaurant trade, not everything on the shelves comes from the farm itself.
The shop is open Thursday and Friday from 9:30 to 17:30 and Saturday from 9:30 to 16:30, and the Marché café serves coffee, cake and lunch. On Saturdays Lindenhoff also has a stall at the ZuiderMRKT on the Jacob Obrechtstraat in Amsterdam, with portioned meat, cold cuts and game.
Besides the farmland, the family manages 65 hectares of nature reserve, where some of the cattle live outside all year.
