Oost Oogst is a nursery on the Aalsmeerderweg in Aalsmeer that grows vegetables and herbs in a greenhouse and in the open ground and sells them from self-service fridges from mid-April to October.

Their website says the vegetables are grown unsprayed (onbespoten) and follow the Dutch seasons: sowing starts in January, planting as soon as the weather allows, the first harvest comes in mid-April and the last around October. Whether they also go without synthetic fertiliser, we couldn't confirm. They also grow roses, sold from a small fridge beside the vegetables.

The fridges at the nursery are open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday. They are filled with whatever is left after the orders are packed, so the range changes from day to day; you take what you want and pay by QR code or in cash in the tin, which can't give change. Orders for vegetables and flowers go by phone.
