Slagerij P. Stut
- Pigs and poultry live free range: outdoors on pasture, in woodland or a run
Slagerij P. Stut is a butcher's shop at Schoolstraat 2a in Blaricum that cuts its own beef and makes most of its products in-house.
The pork is Livar, a pig line which, as their website describes it, is raised on grain, comes from particular breeds and has plenty of space to roam. The beef is chosen together with small farmers who pick the animals out, and the carcasses are cut up in the shop's own butchery, so customers can ask for exactly the cut they want; their website doesn't name those farms or say how the cattle are kept. The counter also carries less common cuts, among them pork cheek, beef bavette, picanha and dry-aged ribeye, along with veal sweetbreads and veal tongue, and the hams and salt beef (rookvlees) are made on the premises. Veal and lamb are also sold, but where they come from we couldn't confirm.
The shop is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 7:30 to 16:00, and there is no webshop.
