Imkerij 't gooi
Imkerij 't Gooi is a small beekeeping business in Huizen whose bee colonies stand at sites spread across 't Gooi and the surrounding area, placed where the bees can forage on many different flowers.
They do as much of the work as they can themselves, from looking after the colonies to extracting and jarring the honey, which is how they know where each honey comes from. The honey is sold raw, cold-extracted and never heated. The range covers a soft blossom honey (bloemenhoning) and single-flower sage, lavender and coriander honeys; their website says the sage honey is gathered by their bees from sage blossom, but whether all the single-flower honeys come from their own hives in 't Gooi is not stated. They also sell flavoured honeys and pollen, not yet confirmed.
Honey can be ordered through their webshop and is sent anywhere in the Netherlands, or collected by appointment in Huizen.
Besides their own apiaries, they place and look after bee colonies in other people's gardens and at business sites.
