Zuivelboerderij en melktap Kronenburgh
- Cattle, sheep or goats graze on pasture in the grazing season
Zuivelboerderij Kronenburgh is a dairy farm of about 150 cows on the Gooyer Wetering outside Driebergen, run by the sixth generation of the same family, which sells its raw milk from a self-service milk tap.
The cows are milked twice a day and graze at least 120 days a year for six hours a day, which allows the farm to sell its milk as weidemelk (pasture milk). In a reply on their website the farm says it does not add Bovaer to the feed. The farm made its own custard, yoghurt and kefir from 2021 but stopped in April 2024; the vending machine still sells eggs, cheese and apple juice, not yet confirmed as the farm's own.
The milk tap is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 20:30 and closed on Sunday. For larger amounts, 20 or 30 litres for example, phone ahead and the milk is drawn straight from the farm's tank.
The farm grows most of the cows' feed itself on about 70 hectares, four-fifths grass and one-fifth maize, and the cows get a daily mix of grass, maize and minerals with concentrate on top as needed.
