Korenmolen Werkhoven
Korenmolen Rijn & Weert is a working windmill in Werkhoven, in the Kromme Rijn area, where grain is ground by wind every Saturday and the flour is sold in the mill shop (molenwinkel).
The shop sells wholemeal and white wheat flour, wholemeal and white spelt, rye, buckwheat and a four-grain flour of wheat, maize, rye and spelt, in 1 and 2.5 kilo bags, with maize and almond flour to order, alongside cake, pancake and bread mixes. Bags of 5 kilos and organic products can be ordered in advance. Where the grain is grown, and which of the flours are ground at this mill, is not yet confirmed.
The mill and the shop are open on Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00, when you can also look around inside the mill and have its workings explained, and a volunteer in the shop can sometimes give baking advice.
New sails were fitted at the end of 2025, and they catch enough wind to grind from wind force 3.
