Landwinkel De Lindeboom
- No synthetic pesticides or fertiliser (certified)
Landwinkel De Lindeboom is the farm shop of a fruit farm among the pear orchards of 't Goy, 400 metres outside the Houten ring road, where a family that took the business over from the previous generation grows apples and pears, specialising in less common varieties.
The fruit farm is certified organic (SKAL); we found it in the register under the name Fruitbedrijf de Lindeboom. Their own orchard supplies apples and pears, stewing pears, and cherries and plums in season. In autumn the fruit is picked, sorted and kept in the farm's own cold stores. The shop also sells farm dairy, boerenkaas (farm cheese), eggs, jams, honey, nuts, flour, bread and juices from other producers; the dairy and eggs are not yet confirmed.
The shop is open Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 and on Saturday from 9:00 to 16:00, with extra opening hours during the cherry season; their website points to Google for the current times. Gift boxes and fruit baskets can be ordered through the webshop and are sent by post.
Besides the harvest, the autumn work on the orchard includes care of the soil and work for nature and biodiversity.
