Bio van Dijk is a grower on the Achterdijk in Schalkwijk that sells its own vegetables, fruit and eggs straight from its greenhouse, fields and barn through a farm vending machine.
The business is certified organic (SKAL); we found it in the register under the name Bio van Dijk B.V. Their Facebook page says the vegetables and fruit are their own crops, grown in the greenhouse without pesticides, and that everything they sell is organic. The eggs come from their own hens, which they describe as scharrelkippen (a Dutch term that usually means barn-kept hens, so outdoor access isn't stated).
The vending machine at Achterdijk 8a is open every day from 6:00 until midnight. The business has no website of its own, so the current range is easiest to follow on its Facebook page.
