Boerderij De Huydecoper
- Pigs and poultry live free range: outdoors on pasture, in woodland or a run
Boerderij De Huydecoper is a care farm in the wooded Nieuwenoord residential park in Baarn, next to the Kasteel Groeneveld estate, where 16 people with a mild or moderate intellectual disability run the farm every day with support staff.
The small farm shop sells free-range eggs and cold-spun honey. The honey comes from Nieuwenoord's own bees. The eggs come either from the farm's own hens or are bought in from free-range farms in the region, so it is worth asking which you are getting; what the hens eat is not yet confirmed.
The farm is open seven days a week from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 16:30, and walkers and cyclists coming from Kasteel Groeneveld can stop at the picnic tables.
The people who work here feed the goats, groom the pony, muck out and sell the products themselves.
