Grootwesterveld is an organic farm in Terschuur, on the edge of the Veluwe, with about 60 dairy cows and 6,000 laying hens, whose eggs are sold from a hut in the yard.
The family, the fourth generation on the farm, has farmed fully organically since 2016. A milking robot milks the cows each day, and the family does almost all the fieldwork itself, from sowing and fertilising to mowing and harvesting. The farm is certified organic (SKAL); we found the certificate for Groot Westerveld vof at this address in the register.
Eggs from their own hens are sold on a self-service basis in the wooden hut at the front of the yard, beside the farm's campervan site. Their website describes this for campers staying the night; whether other visitors can buy eggs there too, we couldn't confirm.
