De Kleine Weide
- Cattle, sheep or goats graze on pasture in the grazing season
De Kleine Weide is a farm shop on the Biesbosserweg in Renswoude, part of a care farm and mini-campsite, that sells beef from its own Hereford calves alongside regional groceries.
The Hereford calves spend the winter in the farm's own barn and the summer grazing on the Leersumse Veld, and their website says the meat they sell is raised without antibiotics. Chicken comes from their neighbour, Kuikens, and carries the Beter Leven welfare label. The shop also sells eggs from its own hens next to free-range and organic eggs from nearby farms, and raw-milk kefir, fresh milk, buttermilk, hangop (strained yoghurt), farm cheeses and vegetables from its own garden, picked when you buy them; where the dairy comes from and how the garden is grown we have not yet confirmed.
The shop at Biesbosserweg 19 is open Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00, and households and businesses can also take a fruit subscription by calling or emailing the shop.
The shop is run together with the care farm, whose participants help every day in the shop, the vegetable garden and the yard.
