Molen De Hoop
Molen De Hoop is a windmill in Culemborg that still grinds grain into flour by wind power and has a mill shop, one of three mills in the Betuwe that trade together as Betuwse Molens.
The flour milled at Culemborg and at the mill in Ingen is sold as flour and made at the mills into bread, cake and biscuit mixes, and the range covers wheat, spelt, rye and oat flour, grains and flakes, unsweetened muesli and seeds. Betuwse Molens is certified organic (SKAL) for processing and trade; we found it in the register at the address of the Ingen mill. The shop and webshop sell both organic products, which carry the SKAL mark, and conventional ones, alongside baking aids such as yeast and bread improver, and their website doesn't say which flours are ground here and which are bought in.
The mill shop is open on Saturdays from 9:00 to 17:00, the mill can be visited for a tour, and everything can also be ordered from the Betuwse Molens webshop.
