Stroe Berries
- Organic methods: no synthetic pesticides or fertiliser, not certified
Stroe Berries is a pick-your-own fruit and flower garden in the wooded countryside of the Veluwe at Stroe, which began with blueberries in 2016.
Besides blueberries you can now pick raspberries, blackberries, a raspberry-blackberry cross, apples, pears, nuts and summer flowers yourself. Their website says the fruit is unsprayed (onbespoten), so it can be eaten straight from the bush. A shop at the garden sells products from the garden, and a terrace serves coffee and cake overlooking the garden.
The garden is open seasonally. From mid or late June it opens on Saturdays from 10:00 to 17:00, and in July and August on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00 to 17:00. Opening times for September and October are announced on their social media and in the news section of their website.
The garden is still being extended: walnut and hazelnut trees have been planted and the soft-fruit section is growing.
