Pluktuin de Bosrand
- Organic methods: no synthetic pesticides or fertiliser, not certified
Pluktuin de Bosrand is a pick-your-own garden in Wageningen where visitors pick their own flowers, fruit and tea herbs.
The fruit you can pick includes currants, blackberries, raspberries, rhubarb, apples and pears, depending on the season, and there are several kinds of mint and other herbs for tea as well as edible flowers. Their own pages describe the flowers and fruit as sustainably grown, and the garden is also described as unsprayed (onbespoten), which we have not yet confirmed with them.
You pay per visit with a picking package, buy a card for five visits, or take a season subscription that lets you come and pick once a week from late May to the end of October; a one-month trial subscription is available too. For people who would rather not pick themselves, fruit can be ordered ready-harvested. The garden is open on Wednesday and Friday afternoons and on Saturdays and Sundays, and their webshop sells gift vouchers. Their website was being rebuilt in 2026, so the full list of what is ready to pick may be out of date.
The jam and chutney workshops use fruit picked from the garden on the day.
